Water Damage – Richmond Hill Home
Water damage occurred at this Richmond Hill home when a water line broke and deposited a sufficient quantity of water to severely warp the wood flooring and damage the lower portion of the wall. In spite of all the advances in the technology available to dry wood flooring, this floor could not be restored. We had to remove the wood flooring and discard it. The same was true for the lower portions of the wall in the room. We dried the subfloor and the wood studs using commercial air movers and dehumidifiers. We then treated the affected areas with an antimicrobial agent to inhibit any potential mold growth. The after photo shows the room prepped for the finish work.
